MaddieHDG4th04 MaddieHDG4th85 MaddieHDG4th101 For the past several years Kathleen & I have skipped the Bel Air July 4th parade and fireworks and gone instead to the events in Havre de Grace. This year was no different. Last year Maddie was a bit to young to really enjoy the parade and stuff . This year however she really seemed to enjoy herself. We rolled up with Maddie in her brand new Radio Flier wagon, found our spot with friends near the end of the parade and enjoyed the fun for a while. After a while I decided to take Maddie for a walk…We headed toward the start of the parade hoping to see my Raven fan friends. We stopped at several points along the way for her to enjoy the parade. We made it to the start of the parade just as my Raven friends were pulling into the parade so we hopped a ride back to our spot. Along the way Maddie and I were waving to the crowd and Maddie was even blowing them kisses, to which there were many awe, how cute responses. After the parade we rolled to Coakley’s restaurant in the usual July 4th tradition, had some good snacks and made our way to Tydings Park for the fireworks. Maddie seemed to enjoy the show just staring at the sky until she decided she was done, crawled into Kathleen’s lap and fell asleep. Over all I think the day was a success and everyone, especially the munchkin !!! Check out the 4th on the 5th page for more photos.

Celebrating the USA’s B-day

Maddie4th452 Fourth of July 2009 054 Last year for the 4th of July Maddie was a little small to really appreciate the whole parade, fireworks thing. This year was a little different, and a lot more fun !!! We started the weekend before the 4th at the Darlington parade. It was the perfect trial run and Madeleine made a new friend, a little boy named Garrett. Fast forward to the big day, July 4th. I had to photograph the morning events in Bel Air. Hamster races, turtle derby and frog jumping contest Maddie and Kathleen came along and got nice front row seats inside the ring as I wondered around shooting. Maddie wasn’t really interested in the critters but had a good time rolling around trying some watermelon and having a good time. Thanks to my friend Laura who snapped a few really nice images of the family, which is sometimes rare becuase I’m usually behind the camera. Check out the USA’s B-Day page for a few more pics !

Fun with the chops

This post is a bit out of order because I just stumbled across these images while looking for some others on the computer. Nicole Munchel, my fellow photog at the Aegis, snapped these while we were shooting some of the spring all county teams at Harford community college. Thanks Nicole !

Daddy’s day 09

maddieladew627 maddieladew756 maddieladew570 Last year for father’s day we went to Ladew Gardens for their Father’s Day concert with the Crawdaddies. So this year, in what is becoming a nice tradition, we along with several friends & their munchkins headed to Ladew Gardens for this year’s show. What a beautiful evening, the weather was perfect, the band was good and everyone had a lot of fun dancing around and exploring the grounds at Ladew. Check out Daddy’s Day 09 page for a few more photos.
