Mad Gracie Photo Blog

  So this post is a bit late and out of the order but I completely forgot to post it !! Anyway we took Maddie to the Harford County Farm Fair the first weekend in August. She took in a few of the sights with mom but apparently was just as interested in her feet as the critters and other stuff. She did get to meet the Sheriff Jesse Bane who was in a dunking booth and having a good time…as you can see the two hit it off and now she has another high level official on her short list of friends !!!!

 Kathleen brought Maddie to the Cal Ripken World Series in Aberdeen last Friday evening to enjoy a game…she had a great time just looking around and taking it all in. People were stopping and looking at her like crazy !!!  My friend Bobby Parker even stopped by for some pork chop time. Please check out the Ripken World Series page for a few more pics.  

 I wanted to post the fireworks photos that Kathleen shot so that one day Madeleine would be able to see what she missed when she fell asleep and they were some really nice photos !!! please check out the July 4th page for more fireworks pics !!

  We took Maddie for her first July 4th event in Havre de Grace. Joined by Kris & Jeff we packed up the munchkin and headed for the parade. She handled everything perfectly…except for a few sirens that were a bit loud !! She got to meet Rayma McRoberts, a co-worker’s wife…and our friend Bobby Parker and his wife Bev and two WWII vets Joe Lofthouse and Ralph Kelly…two men who I have a lot of respect for and have photographed several times over the years. She even handled the fireworks like a champ, just staring up at them in amazement. I guess the long day finally got to her though because she fell asleep during the grand finale!!  All in all it was a great day of fun and adventure with the munchkin.   Friday was a perfect spring day and Kathleen and I decided to join Billy for a hike at one of my favorite spots, the sweet air section of Gunpowder state park. So we packed up the munchkin and headed out for a nice hike through the Barley Pond loop. Maddie handled it pretty well…a few minor crying incidents but nothing a quick fix of the binky couldn’t take care of. The Baby Bjourn carrier we have is NICE, she actually slept most of the time.Maddie is now part of the hike club group.  To see a few more photos check out the baby hike page. 

   While sitting around on munchkin duty over the weekend I decided to play around with the built in web cam on my Mac laptop…here are a few for your viewing pleasure !! 

   It’s amazing to me that this small piece of plastic and rubber can completely change the situation from screaming to content in a second…THANK GOD FOR THE BINKY !!!

  Maddie has attended her first bonfire party !!! Friday evening we had a party for my good friend Brian Krista and we decided to make it a bit of a coming out party for the munchkin too. She was perfect and seemed to enjoy the evening as well. 

All bundled in her carseat, Maddie heads for home on the day she was actually supposed to be born !!
