So out of nowhere the other day Maddie decided to spike her hair up into a mohawk style and started moshing around out of control. She even attacked the paparazzi…as you can see in the photos luckily mom was there to get things under control and fortunately no one was hurt. It must have just been a mood swing or something because later that day she was back to her normal sweet self !!
Kathleen & I took a stroll on the newest section of the Ma& Pa trail in Bel Air Sunday. We of course took the munchkin along for the ride in the stroller…she was just layed back, arms draped over the sides and feet propped up on the tray. We started at the Annie’s playground end of the trail and after our walk we decided to see how Maddie would like the swings…obviously she enjoyed them !! So this post is a bit late and out of the order but I completely forgot to post it !! Anyway we took Maddie to the Harford County Farm Fair the first weekend in August. She took in a few of the sights with mom but apparently was just as interested in her feet as the critters and other stuff. She did get to meet the Sheriff Jesse Bane who was in a dunking booth and having a good time…as you can see the two hit it off and now she has another high level official on her short list of friends !!!!
Maddie was on the move again over the weekend…this time we were off to the Bel Air BBQ Bash. Joined by Bryan, Amy & Eli we set out to find some good BBQ, get a few pics and just enjoy the day. Maddie & Eli had a lot of fun just chillin and people watching. please check out the BBQ Bash page for a few more pics.
Maddie is now officially five months old !! she is rolling over on her own, making all sorts of noises and standing with some help on the balance. She laughs more easily now , which is the greatest !!
So after a long wait Maddie finally got to meet her other great grandmom last Saturday at the Thanner family fiesta…she also met a few of the cousins and of course everyone loved her. I’ll be posting a few other photos from the event on a page in the next day or so, so please check back soon.
Our friends Bryan & Amy stopped by with their son Eli, who is six weeks younger that Maddie, the munchkins enjoyed rolling around on the blankets under the moms’ watchful eyes while Bryan and I played a round of disc golf in our yard. Eli actually rolled over for the first time while they were hanging out. Everyone had a lot of fun even with the HEAT…please check out the Hanging with E page for a few more pics !!
We took Maddie for her first July 4th event in Havre de Grace. Joined by Kris & Jeff we packed up the munchkin and headed for the parade. She handled everything perfectly…except for a few sirens that were a bit loud !! She got to meet Rayma McRoberts, a co-worker’s wife…and our friend Bobby Parker and his wife Bev and two WWII vets Joe Lofthouse and Ralph Kelly…two men who I have a lot of respect for and have photographed several times over the years. She even handled the fireworks like a champ, just staring up at them in amazement. I guess the long day finally got to her though because she fell asleep during the grand finale!! All in all it was a great day of fun and adventure with the munchkin. Please see the July 4th page for more photos…there are several there & I still have more to upload so please check back soon !!
We are in month four of the munchkin and she’s doing great !! Smiling A LOT and even the giggle with some coaxing. She is making all sorts of baby sounds and has even rolled over a few times. We’ve given her the superhero name ” The Wiggler”. Outdoors seems to be the place for her…we sit on the porch and watch the squirrels go by or take a stroll around to see what we can see, Madeleine just taking it all in !!
